Friday 13th January 2012 The Roosters

Friday 13th wasn't unlucky because this evening was a great start to the Rock 'n' Roll year at Hedsor RNR Juke Box.

The Roosters were as usual a fantastic entertaining band that kept the floor buzzing all night with their great music.

As you all heard our wonderful DJ Jivin' George had voice problems which meant he couldn't talk very much so we would like to say a huge thanks to DJ Jumpin' Jim who assisted with the DJing in which he did a fantastic job. THANK YOU JUMPIN' JIM.

Thank you everyone who supports Hedsor RNR Juke Box to keep the Rock 'n' Roll scene alive.

A couple of videos showing what a great time we had. Thank you Sue for a great night.

Note: The video files are quite large and may take time to open them on your computer, so patience maybe required. :-)

Friday 14th October 2011 The Borderlines

Tonight was a tonic for my 2 week old headache. The Borderlines were fantastic.

All very talented musicians.

George is now fully recovered from his virus but that didn't stop him from "cocking up" which as always gives us all a good laugh.

Misc 2011 (no. 2) Miscellaneous photos I found some more photo's on my other camera. These are taken from Lakeside and Mundesley.

Monday 5th Sept 2011

Josie

On Monday 5th September George was informed that Josie passed away after a brave battle with cancer.

We are shocked and saddened by this news.

Cassie has asked me to find the photos of her mum from the justdanze web site and I thought I could use them to pay tribute to Josie, who was a lovely lady who loved her Rock 'n' Roll.

Josie adored her daughter Cassie who both became regulars at Rock 'n' Roll events.

We shall miss Josie and her happy smile and laughter.

Our love and thoughts are with Cassie.

Friday 8th July 2011 The Heartbeats Apologies for placing these a bit late on the web site. Been that busy these days. A fab time as always courtesy of DJ Jivin' George.
Saturday 25th June 2011

A big thanks to DJ Jumping Jim for helping out with the DJ'ing, Mark and Amy for serving the drinks, Ken for doing the door and a BIG FAT THANK YOU to George who works so hard the whole day because he enjoys it so much.
Saturday 25th June 2011 Classic Car & Bike Show A great selection of classic cars turned up for this event. The rain kept away and the weather turned out great in the end. Let me explain the photos of the cat. Tracy bought her cat with her today and it met a dog. That's why little Merlin looks, well how can I say, vicious, but he's a lovely boy really. Thank you to everyone who had a stall and supported the show. A big THANK YOU to Chris who took the entry fee at the fence. Finally well done George.
Friday 10th June 2011 The Sundowners A great start to the weekend. Great band, dodgy DJ, er I mean great DJ and a fabulous crowd. I really enjoyed the night and the sound system was out of this world. Thanks to everybody who supports us to help keep Hedsor Social Club open.

Friday 13th May 2011 The Borderlines

My mate Jimbo gave me a great tip when viewing the photos. Press F11 and the screen will remove the top of the screen so you can view the photos in a fuller view. Thanks Jimbo.

The Borderlines were in fine tune tonight. A very enjoyable evening with plenty of dancers. DJ Jivin' didn't do a bad job either. Always a great way to start the weekend.

Friday 29th April 2011 Helena & John's wedding

We all wish you a long and happy marriage and keep rockin'.

Love Julie & George xxx

Friday 8th April 2011 This Little Girl and The Dillicats Wow, what a fantastic night. This band was out of this world. The youngest at only 13 was Kerry, the drummer. A fabulous family band in which I heard positive comments throughout the night. This was their first appearance at Hedsor and I'm sure we will see them again in this area in the near future. Let's not forget our fabulous DJ, Jivin' George, who almost managed a mistake free night which in-fact wouldn't be the same if one or two of his CD's getting stuck. Thank you to you all for supporting Hedsor. I must also say it was lovely to see Carol back after her long spell in hospital. It was great to see her getting better.
Friday 11th March 2011 The Roadhouse Cruisers

First of all apologies for last month. I was unwell and couldn't make it to see Jonny Fox so no photos. I heard I missed a great night.

As for March's band, The Roadhouse Cruisers, they performed very well, which gave everyone a great start to the weekend. George played some fantastic music.

Saturday 8th January 2011 Johnny Earl

Congratulations to George for organizing this event for Hedsor that bought in more people than I can remember for a Saturday night, thus helping out the Hedsor bank account. :-)

George gave his services for free so I do hope the Hedsor committee appreciate his generous support for the club.

Thank you to everybody who supported this Hedsor event.

Johnny Earl was fantastic and I just loved his jibes and jokes. His singing was brilliant too, singing all the best songs from the legends.

As you can see from the photo's this was a successful night and let's hope we see many more.

Friday 10th December 2010 Berni Wood & The Forest Fires Just a quick note on this night. As usual everybody enjoyed themselves. DJ Jivin' George did a great job and the band was excellent. Sorry for putting the photos up late and a short description, but been ever so busy. :-)

Friday 8th October 2010 The Borderlines BINGO. A full house at Hedsor. The Borderlines were absolutely fantastic. Hats up to George who played some fantastic music. What a way to start the weekend. I just love Rock 'n' Roll gigs like this.
Friday 10th September 2010 The Roosters Another great Friday night to start the weekend off. The Roosters were on top form. Between The Roosters and DJ Jivin' George the floor was packed most of the night. With a massive thanks for George who always provides a fun evening and to you lot who help keep the club running.
Friday 13th August 2010 The Stingrays

What a night. Hedsor was packed with all sort of characters, including Bully and Scooby Doo. The Stingrays were great and kept the dance floor busy with dancers. DJ Jivin' George didn't do too bad either, providing great music to cater for all. A great night all round.

Friday 23rd to Monday 26th July 2010 Lakeside - Hayling Island A few photos of the Lakeside Rock 'n' Roll weekender. A wonderful break with lots of good food.
Friday 9th July 2010 The Roadhouse Cruisers

I really enjoyed this band. George found this band at one of the weekenders we went on. I thought the band sounded excellent. Another hot evening but Hedsor was pretty much full of dancers and drinkers.

DJ Jivin' George made us laugh with his usual mistakes and his banter. The best gag was when Ken was popping and George piped up "Let's put another bopper on to see if we can kill him off". I laughed so much it hurt.

Thanks for a great night to George and all.

Sunday 27th June 2010 The Kingcats A great evening to finish off the day. The Kingcats did a fantastic double set of Rock 'n' Roll. Everyone enjoyed themselves. A big THANK YOU to GEORGE who organised the classic car & bike show plus the Kingcats gig. Once again George did a fantastic job in raising funds for Hedsor who appreciates his effort to help keep the club afloat.
Sunday 27th June 2010 Classic Car & Bike Show What a hot day it was, so hot that I had to get my factor 30 out. Thankfully this didn't stop many classic cars and bikes turning up for Hedsor's 4th annual classic car and bike show. George set up a big screen in the TV room for those who wanted to watch the World Cup. A big thank you to all of you that bought your classic cars and for all of you who came to view the cars. A massive thanks to Chris & Tiggy etc who helped collect the money at the gate. Also for Mike and Pam who helped out behind the bar. Thanks to all.
Friday 11th June 2010 The Roosters A great turn out for the Roosters. What a fantastic band. Great sound, great musicians, great songs. What more could you ask for? The DJ wasn't bad either!!! ;-) DJ George did a fantastic job as usual. Photos look a bit dark this month. Perhaps my camera is on its way out. Not surprising really, as I've taken over 6,500 photos on it.
Friday 14th May 2010 Fast Eddie and the Jive Machine Wow. When Fast Eddie and the Jive Machine began their first session of the evening, my jaw nearly dropped to the floor. This band is a "top quality" band and the sound was awesome. Everyone enjoyed themselves I couldn't help noticing how many people went up to see the band at the end of the night to speak with them. Also DJ Jivin' George had many "Thank You" for a brilliant night. I want this band to come back to Hedsor and I think everyone was thinking the same. Well done George for a great night.

A big thanks and many laughs for Robo's gang who dressed up as super hero's. Everytime I saw super hero Banana man (Robo), I fancied a banana. Thank you for everyone who attended this event and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Happy New Year.
Sat 19th Dec 2009 The Strollers

The weather didn't stop The Strollers from traveling many hours to our gig.

They were a fantastic band and we had many comments on how people had enjoyed the band and evening.

One comment we had was "the best band they have ever seen".

Thank you George for putting on this event. It was a really enjoyable evening.

Sat 12th Dec 2009 Sexy Santa 2009

Fri 9th Oct 2009 The Houserockers

I forgot to charge up my camera so only managed to take 43 photos before the charge ran out.

The 1st half was a little bit fast to dance to, but the 2nd half rock and rollers managed to get a few dances in.

George did a fantastic bit of DJ'ing which bought all the dancers onto the floor.

Fri 11th Sept 2009 The B17's

This is just what I needed after a stressful day at work.
DJ Jivin' George and The B17's played great music all night. Everyone else seemed to enjoy the evening too as the dance floor was full of dancers.

Saturday 20th June 2009 Lynda and Ian's wedding day

My sister got married

Congratulations to Lynda who married Ian Boden on
Saturday 20th June at 3pm.

The bride and groom looked absolutely gorgeous. In-fact everyone who attended the wedding and evening reception looked stunning.

The bridesmaids, bride and her sons (Martyn and Neil) turned up in fabulous style, a 1953 Chevrolet supplied and chauffeured by George Gatrell. Thank you George.

The whole day was planned to perfection.

As the vows were taken place Lynda became a little emotional and almost cried with happiness. She overcome this and soon became "man and wife".

The evening reception was very well attended by friends and family. Many of our dancing friends attended who took to the floor with modern jive.

In between the evening was a spot of Karaoke. The attendees were very good in-deed, almost professional.

What a fantastic day - I will remember this day for many years to come.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome by new brother-in-law to the family, not only because he is a great cook!!! but also because he is a lovely person and my big sister loves him to bits.
